Once there was a boy that had a dog that would eat any thing that was made of pencil and paper. On the first day of school the teacher said to write a page on what we did over the summer holidays. The next day the teacher was collecting the page of writing and a boy named Harry did not have his homework and told the teacher that his dog ate his homework. The teacher let him off but he had to do it with the rest of his homework that evening. The next day the same thing happened but it was Billy Bob who did not do his homework. He gave the same excuse as Harry but this time it was Harry’s dog once more who was the culprit. The teacher said the same thing. That kept on happening daily until she said ‘I will write page of work in pencil and if the dog takes it I wont give you any homework for the rest of the year but if not you will get 234 whacks! Each!!'

And that night the teacher wrote a page of work the next day it was there. But the teacher never knew that her spelling sheet was gone. The kids got hurt and that was how my dog ate my homework excuse is now known by everybody.
