Seashells and Seaweed.

There are main different kinds of seashells. Some are white and some are multy-coloured. In some seashells lives things bits of food. Some of these seashells are edible like cockles and mussles. Mussles cling to large rocks and cockles are found near by.

There's a lot of seaweed. It has a slight smell to it and its very slippery. When you walk on it. There are lots of creepy crawlies hidden away in it. I often see crabs under the seaweed. You can look for dilisk under seaweed but you would have to be very careful that you don’t slip.

The way I get to the shore.

All I have to do is walk down my field and then cross some wire and climb down the rocks. Then I am at the shore. We just call it the shore because there is no name for it.

One day I went to the shore and I found jelly fish, star –fish, cockles, winkles, mussles, crabs and

Razor fish. I collected some shells, crabs and seaweed and a small winkle and brought them to my classroom and took these photographs.

Shells

Shells can come in all different shaps sizes and coloures. There are fish in some shells. There are many kinds of shell -fish. There are crabs, razor-fish, mussles, cockles and oysters and there are many more. Shells are usaly found on the sand on the sea shore and some grow on rocks. Shell-fish are nice to eat and are good to eat.

You can pick some shells-fish on rocks and some on the sea-shore and you can dig for some in the sand. Some shell-fish like oysters are cought by pulling a net of a boat.

To get the fish out of their shells you have to boil them a bit. When you get them out of their shells wash the sand off the fish. And boil them again. Then Enjoy.
